Give the Gift of Ruth’s Life:
Ruth: What training and education do you need to be a school architect?
Hamilton: Well to be an architect there's several accredited architecture universities that offer a professional degree. Architecture requires a professional license, and so in order to get that license, you have to go to an accredited university that gives you that degree. North Carolina has two of those schools. To get into those schools, art is a big aspect, really creative arts, many of the different creative arts, in order to get into those architecture firms. A lot of people think of math as being the most important part of being an architect, but really it's kind of a combination of math, science, and creativity.
